Jamie and Michelle were married on a Sunday in June at the Central Synagogue in London, and their reception was held at RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects).

Even though it was my birthday (!) the weather wasn’t great – it rained a lot of the day, so we weren’t able to shoot outside, but the weather did nothing to dampen the spirits of Michelle, Jamie or their guests – it was an amazing party atmosphere, with lots of smiles, and especially lots of dancing!

There was so much going on that this edit’s taken me longer than usual to put together – but I’m happy with the result – I think it reflects all the love and fun there was in the air that day… see what you think!

NB: You may be wondering why this movie has black bars top and bottom – the reason is that I have cropped it to the “Cinemascope” ratio (2.35:1) instead of “normal” widescreen (16:9). I like to do this with some movies as it’s the aspect ratio used for many Hollywood movie releases, and I think it adds to the “cinematic feel” that I’m trying to achieve. It depends on the event however – sometimes the normal ratio works better…

Please do leave a comment and let me know if you like this “super-widescreen” look, or if you prefer the regular “HD TV” shape…
