London church wedding video – Ashley & Mike’s wedding at Great St. Barts, West Smithfield
Great St. Bart’s church (or more properly “the Priory Church of St. Bartholomew the Great”) in the City of London is one of my favourite places to film a wedding – a magnificent building with a long history, plenty of space so even the biggest weddings don’t feel crowded, and a superb professional choir whose performances send shivers down your spine.
So no wonder Ashley and Mike chose Great St. Bart’s for their wedding! My coverage started with a few shots of Mike and his groomsmen having a swift pint in the pub round the corner, then the service itself, followed by the photo session in Smithfield Square, and the drinks reception in the Cloister Café attached to the church. The sun shone, and to top it off the wedding party and guests departed for their reception in a bright red London bus! Mike’s from Cheshire and Ashley is from Cleveland Ohio, so her family from across the pond had a great time getting the full London experience!
You can find out more about Great St Barts on their website – it’s one of the oldest churches in London and a fascinating place – and highly recommended if you want a traditional church ceremony in the most splendid of surroundings.
It was a pleasure filming Ashley and Mike’s special day and I wish them every happiness for the future. Here’s their highlights movie (with a soundtrack from the amazing St. Bart’s choir…)
